WCBBQ Contest
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will provide (2) x 20 amp -110 volt GFI plug boxes for each team space. Additional power needs must be purchased through Aggreko by the end of the day on January 19, 2024 to receive the discounted pricing listed below, and to guarantee availability.
*** Additional power purchased after January 19, 2024 will cost 1.5 times the discounted rate below (i.e. 20 amps/110 volts for $300.00), while power requested on site will be charged at double the price below (i.e. 20 amps/110 volts for $400.00).
*** Failure to pay Aggreko, including partial or invalid payments (e.g., a returned check or declined credit card) may result in forfeiture of future invitations to participate in the BBQ Contest.
*** Additional power purchased on site at the Contest will be charged at double the listed prices.
*** Outside generators that are not a permanent part of the contestant's pit or motor home are not allowed.
Teams must order enough power to support the operations in their tent (see the "Help Me Decide What I Need" page for common power requirements). If a team's set-up draws more power than they have indicated, the breaker will automatically trip in that individual team space ONLY.
